Once a tree hugger, always a tree hugger :)

I'm a Pennsylvania girl living in the Lehigh Valley, but my heart has always been at the beach.  The waves are always crashing in the back of my mind, regardless of my current geography.  I really wanted a place to share beach-inspired ideas, such as decor, crafts, style, and recipes. And thus, Fanciful Flamingo was hatched.

My "grown up" job as Marketing Coordinator at a welding product wholesaler has re-opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of being creative.  I know, I know- the world of welding doesn't scream "creative outlet", but it forced me to get out of my comfort zone and really push myself.  (Making welding wire and cylinder carts exciting and desirable is not as easy as you would think!)

In my spare time I enjoy crafting, antiquing, fishing, cooking and baking, graphic design, planning trips (especially to Sanibel!), reading, constantly redecorating our apartment, and working on my side business as a peddler of fabulous vintage goods.
